As the FunKey S has neither system link cable support nor the ability to connect additional controllers, multiplayer modes that require these features are not useableplayable on the device. However, multiplayer modes that are implemented in a [[w:Hotseat (multiplayer mode)|hotseat]] manner (one controller with one system) are useableplayable on the FunKey S. While the majority of games that implement this mode do so using a "pass-and-play" method where players take turns (usually turn-based sports, strategy, and tabletop games), several instead have two players use the same controller simultaneously.
