Backers, we are breaking our weekly update schedule to inform you of an urgent matter. As you know, FunKey S shipments began last Thursday, with some backers in Asia receiving their orders as soon as Saturday. Several of these backers quickly reached out to us on Discord to inform us of issues their systems had, which included a malfunctioning LED and a missing plastic part. We subsequently decided to put the shipping process on hold, as none of the devices should have passed the final assembly tests with such faults. While only 0.67% of shipped devices (4 out of 600) have so far been reported as faulty, the presence of such faults in the device of any backer is entirely unacceptable. As we had designed the final assembly tests to catch such mistakes, we are currently talking with the manufacturer to understand what went wrong and avoid a future reoccurrence.
